- Home fires are America's biggest disaster threat. More than 93 percent of the 74,000 disasters the Red Cross responds to each year are fire related- that's approximately 180 a day! The American Red Cross responds to these disasters to provide comfort and aid to meet the immediate needs of families affected by home fires. Remember to change your smoke detector batteries and

The 2009 Go-Kart Season has came to a close with The Cooper Crew (#14)winning the points championship followed closely by Coldwater Young Farmers (#21), Stachler Concrete (#69)in third, 4th went to Rose Construction(#12) and
Klingshirn Trucking (#48) & Sanning Service Station #(99) tied for 5th place in the overall points.
Congratulations to all of our 2009 teams. It was a great season and a lot of fun.

- Recently, the Mercer Co. Chapter provided assistance to a family that had a devastating fire in their home. They were very grateful to have the assistance of food, clothing, & shelter provided by our chapter. The family was also very appreciative for the compassionate support & care they received from the Red Cross volunteers.
- Your local chapter has also relayed emergency communication messages for 2 service families and their loved one serving in the military. Please continue to support our many men and women serving our country!

Holiday Mail for Heroes
The holiday season is fast approaching, and the Mercer County Chapter is excited to be participating with Holiday Mail for Heroes. This program is an excellent opportunity to share a holiday greeting with members of the U.S. Armed Forces, veterans and their families. Help us bring a little piece of home to the troops by wishing those who serve our country a safe and joyous holiday season! Anyone interested in volunteering to help with the Holiday Mail for Heroes, please contact the office.
